I believe that children learn through responsive and reciprocal relationships with people, places and things. Children learn and discover through their natural curiosity and inquiry with the natural world around them. As Teachers it is our role to encourage their sense of self-esteem, so they become confident and competent learners.​​​​​​​​​​

I have been teaching in Early Childhood Education since 2013.

I am passionate about building meaningful & respectful relationships with children and their whanau. I see these connections as key in supporting children to develop a strong sense of belonging within their learning environment where they feel safe, valued & confident to be themselves.

I am also passionate about fostering independence and empowering children to take an active role in their own learning journey, encouraging curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.

I have been teaching in Early Childhood education since 2011. I believe in building trusting, respectful relationships between children, whanau, our community and the teacher team.  I believe in open communication and working together to enhance learning outcomes for all children, making learning engaging and meaningful.

My role as a teacher will be to encourage and support each child in developing their own potential to become confident and competent learners.​

Kia ora koutou, I have been teaching in Early Childhood for over 25 years. I am passionate about fostering social and emotional competence and building resilience in a fun way. I also try to foster a love and respect for our beautiful natural environment through Te Ao maori perspectives.

I feel very lucky to be part of the wonderful team at Rangiora Nursery School and privileged to support your children as they learn and grow. I have always worked in community-based centres and am deeply passionate about high-quality early childhood education. I believe children learn best through unstructured free play, meaningful social interactions, and opportunities to explore the world around them. I have three delightful (and wonderfully crazy) kiddies of my own, and outside of teaching, I love spending time with my family and friends, being outdoors, learning new things, and exploring our beautiful motu.

I have been teaching in ECE for over 10 years. I have worked in a variety of different Educational Philosophies from the Reggio Emilia approach, Montessori Education and the Kindergarten sector.

I believe children learn through multiple pathways. I enjoy providing a supportive enriched learning environment for all children. Empowering our tamariki to be future leaders.

I have loved being part of this amazing centre since early 2015 – I look forward to meeting your child and your whanau as we grow & learn on our Nursery School journey.

I joined Nursery School in early 2015 as the Office Administrator – prior to this I worked as an Accounts/Office Manager for 15 years within North Canterbury. It is a privilege to work with such an amazing team and getting to know all the wonderful children and families.
